Job Responsibilities:

• Manage mergers and acquisitions activities, including the drafting of confidentiality agreements, data room management, due diligence, valuation analysis, offer preparation, contract drafting, negotiation, and the establishment of joint ventures.
• Lead strategic planning and initiatives aimed at supporting the company's overall growth and market positioning, integrating long-term business objectives into actionable financial strategies.
• Develop and implement detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, ensuring robust financial planning and reporting across various projects.
• Prepare and deliver investor presentations, cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders and driving engagement for funding and partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate with banks and financial institutions to secure and optimize project financing, aligning terms with corporate objectives.
• Conduct portfolio management activities that encompass equity research on publicly listed mining companies, analysis and reporting on commodity markets, fixed income securities, and derivatives.
• Utilize financial mathematics to assess portfolio risk, optimize returns, and ensure effective cash flow management through daily trading operations.
• Identify and evaluate new domestic and international exploration and development opportunities, aligning with strategic goals and maximizing asset growth.
• Provide critical insights and support to the CEO and executive leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making processes, corporate finance management, and business expansion initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mining Engineering, Earth Sciences or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in business development, corporate finance, and strategic planning within the mining or related industries, with a strong track record in finance.
• Expertise in financial due diligence, financial modeling, analysis, and strategic planning, witha solid understanding of financial mathematics and its applications in portfolio management.
• Experience in commodity markets, fixed income securities, derivatives, and equity research, including preparing detailed market analyses and reports.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• International project experience and market knowledge, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory and market environments.
• Advanced proficiency in financial tools, including Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Familiarity with mining exploration processes and understanding of technical aspects related to mining operations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with business goals and market opportunities.
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and engaging effectively with technical and operational staff.
